ANDRE MALRAUX:
A workship built by the shipyard H2X, dedicated to the national Underwater archeological research Department, for the French Ministry of Culture.
Naval architect: Cabinet MAURIC
Description:
The André Malraux will follow the tracks of the Archeonaute laid-up in 2005.
A real support for divers, scientists and researchers in the field of archaeology.
The 36 meter ship will naturally be a decisive tool in the French maritime national policy.
Built out of composite materials, the structure will be lighter, with optimal mechanical performance.
Thanks to a dynamic positioning system and a diesel-electric propulsion engine, the ship will have more stability while in operation.
The workship will be delivered at the end of 2011 and commissioned in the spring of 2012.
